I was happy to watch this film, not just because it is a Marvel film, but because it is an Asian led Marvel film.
Diversity is here people, let’s embrace it!
The flow of the film was paced well, and there wasn’t anything that confused me, because everything was explained, apart from how did Xu Wenwu (Tony Leung) obtain the rings in the first place? Die hard comic book readers probably know the answer, but not me.
It was only right that Ben Kingsley appeared in this film, considering his involvement in Iron Man 3 as the Mandarin, apparently a name used for Xu Wenwu. Marvel always finds a way to tidy everything up.
Awkwafina again demonstrates her acting range, as Shang-Chi’s best friend Katy. She used comic relief, but showed how she could reign it also.
There were dragons involved, and a lot of mysticism, I was very happy to get on board.
Worth watching again.
