Top 10: Films of 2002

10. Road to Perdition - I actually like Hanks' portrayal of a hit man more than most. I wish he'd switch it up more often.
Road to Perdition

9. Lilo & Stitch - The way things are going, this might be Disney's last great 2D animated film.
Lilo & Stitch

8. Secretary - You don't see a lot of movies focusing on Kink, so this is probably the best one by default.
Secretary

7. Confessions of a Dangerous Mind - Clooney's 1st directorial effort and he knocks it out of the park. It helps that he's got Charlie Kaufman writing the script and Sam Rockwell in the lead.
Confessions of a Dangerous Mind

6. Lord of the Rings: Two Towers - I played a little D&D back in the day, so I love all this magic/monsters crap.
Lord of the Rings: Two Towers

5. Talk to Her - I haven't watched this again since seeing it in the theatre. But what I recall was super intense quality drama... and at least one bull goring.
Talk to Her

4. The Bourne Identity - Best of the series. After this one the camera got a little too shaky for my liking.
The Bourne Identity

3. Punch Drunk Love - Sandler makes a lot of horrible films, but movies like this show that he's probably the best actor of his SNL brethren when he wants to be.
Punch Drunk Love

2. Spirited Away - Miyazaki's best and wackiest film thus far.
Spirited Away

1. Adaptation - Nic Cage steps up his acting game to match the quality of Spike Jonze and Chuck Kaufman.

Honourable mentions - Signs, Nine Queens, Roger Dodger, About a Boy.
